It's not that far, it's in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia.
Selepas balik dari menziarah ibu mertuaku, kami singgah ke Gua Tempurung, di Gopeng. Sampai di sana sudah waktu makan, pukul 12 tengahari. Renjer-renjer yang bertugas hendak makan, sila beri laluan.
Since it's already lunch time, and we have to wait, so we adjourned to the nearby 'wakaf'. Don't know what to eat because we have had our early lunch at MIL's house, in the mean time, baby w enjoyed eating her 'jajan'. "Sayang, mak nak sikit, boleh tak?"
Later without delay I eagerly went to the counter and purchased the tickets. I paid RM9 each for adults, and RM4.50 for kid (i.e kaklang). We took the 'journey to the top of the world', it's a dry journey, covering 664 steps to and of course, 664 steps back, about 1.4 km. Anyone can go, no limitation, oh yes! There are. Kids minimum age is 4 years old. We only bring our body, no mineral water, no nasi lemak tapau. According to abang renjer, it should take about 1 hour 30 minutes or 1 hour 45 minutes max.
Please be informed that if you would like the fun and thrill to the top of the world as well as journey through the river underneath the Gua Tempurung, you have to come in the morning. Those trips are only available in the morning. And make sure you wear proper clothing with suitable shoes, unlike us, we went in - in slippers. hahaha
Please enjoy the pictures I've attached, not in random order. Oh ya, Kaklang and Kakngah made friends with cute mini size butterfly, err, I don't know, rama-rama atau kupu-kupu. Sama saja rupanya.
We entered the cave in groups led by errrrr, abang-apa-entah-namanya. Seeing me being so tired, he advised me to not to forget to breath in breath out in the caving adventure, no worries, no awful smell because there's no kelawar inside Gua Tempurung. Apparently they have migrated to other caves,... errr... agaknya ;)
Forgot to mention that our group were a truely 1Malaysian.... consisted of my family, 2 college boys, 1 Indian couple, I Chinese family age from grandson to grandma.
I was sweating heavily, no need to go to Gym. Sorry Dave Nuku, we shall meet some other times :) Luckily at one spot, we were advised to take five, the area was surrounded by cool breeze, so relaxing, one can easily fall asleep. After a while, we continued our journey.
Other than that, since we entered the cave with no bekalan, i.e. susu for baby w. She was complaining like non-stop that she was thirsty (mak lupalah... sori ya), she's having headache (meaning she's sleepy), she was tired, she cannot walk, her legs sore, etc etc.
She fall asleep at the 'top of the world', at the staircase. Oh gosh, lucky for her, paksu carried her back, breathless, hehehe. Macho man go!!
On the way back, I hurriedly to the exit (the same as the entrance), because I myself cannot tahan the urge to drink and sit, penat giler weh....
Kakngah sangat excited, dan ingin pergi lagi, untuk meneroka dry and wet adventure pula.
Maksu says: No thank you, please send me to other places like shopping complex, huhuhuh (because the adventure is so tiring, i got no stamina)
